Stern Grove Festival 2025

I was honored to bring my creative vision to Stern Grove Festival for the summer of 2025, the 88th season of free music in San Francisco. When the festival chose to work with local artists for their poster and merchandise designs, I had the incredible opportunity to contribute my own ideas and style to this historic SF institution. My contributions included a custom poster for Orville Peck's performance, as well as a full merchandise collection that captures the essence of this beloved venue.

The merchandise designs were born from sitting on the actual stage in the park and observing the interplay of light, nature, and space that makes this venue special. The filtered sunlight through eucalyptus trees, circling birds of prey, and nasturtiums covering the ground became my visual language for expressing how nature, music, and community unite in this San Francisco landmark. The Orville Peck poster drew inspiration from his music, enigmatic character, intricate tattoos, and unique celebration of individuality—merging his distinctive aesthetic with the natural beauty and inclusive spirit of Stern Grove. Being selected to create work for such a significant tradition was both an honor and a responsibility—to capture the essence of a place that holds deep meaning for countless music lovers throughout the Bay Area, and to reflect the spirit of accessibility, natural beauty, and cultural connection that makes Stern Grove a true San Francisco treasure.
